UNIVERSITY OF COPENHAGEN, FACULTY OF LIFE SCIENCES

In brief
The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) merged with the University of Copenhagen under the name of Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE) in July 2007. LIFE is a leader within health, food, society, nature, animals and the environment. Our research, educations and innovative work focus on knowledge and practical tools that can give people, animals and plants a better future.

We work purposefully to transfer and utilize the knowledge and research of the University for the benefit of society as a whole. We have a long tradition of cooperation with private companies, innovation environments and research institutions. During the last few years, we have experienced an impressive increase in the number of reported inventions from our researchers – a contribution that create a basis for increased commercial cooperation and the establishment of the first spin-off companies.
