The challenge has begun!

On Monday morning it was finally revealed what the theme of the Challenge week would be for the students.

How can Grundfos contribute to sustainable development in the fast growing BRIC countries? (BRIC: Brasil, Russia, India, China). This is the main headline of this year's Grundfos Challenge theme.

"I think the theme is very open, and so we are allowed to think very freely," said Søren from the University of Aarhus Engineering. " We had considered some ideas at home and we shall be developing them further this week," he said.

Kristoffer and Henrik from HIH, Institute of Business and Technology, agreed: "The assignment is pleasantly open and there are not many surprises. Being so open it will probably get a lot of different answers," they said.

To offer this year's Challenge participants a lot of inspiration for their responses, a number of presentations were given from various personalities after the publishing of the assignment.

Christoffer Bro Bramsen, former Danish Ambassador to China, and Grundfos BDC Marketing Director, Keld Fensten Madsen, told the participants about the BRIC countries and the challenges of each country. Grundfos Group Executive Vice President talked about Grundfos and globalisation.
