Statements from previous participants
who now work at Grundfos
Kim Borup Nørgaard, Engineering trainee
Grundfos Challenge was an exciting and educational week. Afterwards I was offered an attractive internship where I could supplement my education with relevant practical experience. At Grundfos I have been given some very interesting assignments and fields of responsibility that students are not normally offered.
My participation has made me want to work with innovation and change management- especially in a large company like Grundfos where there is resources to do things better and an innovative spirit.
Tobias Baldrian Jensen, Trainee
The competition is a challenge that is not only about winning but just as much about proving to yourself and others that you can create value to the business community - it gives great confidence to get positive feedback from some of Denmark's most recognized business leaders.
Karin Jessen Nielsen, Developing engineer
One of the things I really like about Grundfos is the company's focus on development and innovation. There is space to be creative and good opportunities for personal and professional advancements. These are the main reasons why I chose to work at Grundfos, even though I had other job offers at hand.
Being a competitor in Grundfos Challenge has given me a lot. It gave me a good impression of Grundfos, the company's values, and career opportunities for me as an engineer - therefore I knew a bit about what to expect in my job.
Juan Jensen, Product engineer
In many ways Grundfos Challenge was a fantastic experience which also gave me an insight into the ways a global and well-organized company operates. The competition was educational, and it gave me a good idea of what I wanted to do after my graduation as an engineer - that is probably why I now work here at Grundfos.
So far my time at Grundfos has given me the opportunity to follow my ambitions and, among other things, to expand and renew my professional knowledge. My job is challenging and exciting.
Henrik Hjorth, Engineering trainee
First of all Grundfos Challenge confirmed that I wanted to work at Grundfos, and second the experience gave me some contacts which have been of use to me later - both when I applied for a job at Grundfos, and now when I work in the business unit Industrial Wastewater. I have a master's degree in Marketing, and therefore I work with competitor analysis, concept and business development in the department.
At a personal level the competition has been both challenging and developing. By working intensely with an assignment for such a large company as Grundfos the competition concretized the theory which I use every day - something all students can benefit from.
Hans Brink Hansen, Rotation Engineer
During Grundfos Challenge I created a personal network in Grundfos. I now benefit from this for example when I need assistance in relation to specific areas of knowledge in the company to solve a specific task.
Grundfos Challenge also served as a "crash course" in the company's different business areas and company culture and values - a good way to get to know Grundfos.
One of the primary reasons why I now work at Grundfos is that the company's fundamental values harmonize with my own values.
