EFF1 motors equal reduced energy costs

Because electricity accounts for more than 85% of the total costs of owing a pump, customers demand long-term and cost-efficient solutions. Therefore Grundfos has now launched the EFF1 motor as standard in the world-famed CR range. EFF1 motors make a real difference in how much energy pump motors consume and thus in how much money you can save!

CEMEP

In 1999 an European agreement on classification of electric standard motors from 1.1 kW was made. The agreement is a result of the cooperation between the European Commission and CEMEP (European committee of manufacturers of electric machines and electronics).

The objective is to reduce the energy consumption of industries by using motors with higher efficiency. The agreement is non-compulsory. Today, CEMEP and EPAct requirements to motor efficiency are accepted as global standards for 50 and 60 Hz high-efficiency motors. CEMEP covers 50 Hz motors whereas EPAct covers 60 Hz motors.
