Do you want a maintenance-free and energy-efficient pump solution?
Biala, Poland
The situation
Grundfos' modernisation of a water supply system in Poland improved the standards considerably and cut energy and maintenance cost to a minimum.
In the early 90's the water supply situation in Biala Podlaska was truly poor. In fact only approximately 82% of the dwellers had access to the public water supply, which was considerably lower than other cities and towns in Lubelskie Province.
The Grundfos solutions
Having made an in-depth analysis of the existing water and sewage system, Grundfos recommended a two-stage system and supplied a total of ten SP 4 & SP 6 submersible pumps. To protect the pumps from voltage fluctuations a motor protection unit was installed.
The outcome
In addition to eliminating the water supply problem in Biala Podlaska, The Grundfos solution has meant trouble-free operation since 1992. "We would always recommend applying Grundfos pumps due to their low failure frequency and energy savings. They significantly affected the positive financial result of our water supply", says Zbigniew Krol, the chairman of the Board of Directors.
